By: Sebastian Apollonian Xavier

There are so many competing models and makes of cell phones on the market, but the LG phone may be one worth your attention. Of course people want everything including the desire to avoid inconvenience. So the makers of phones have the task of a high amount of functionality that neatly fits in a shirt pocket. Many times a business will make judgment calls based on their very best marketing and business knowledge. The LG phone phone is a solid phone that brings strong features to the table - here is more.

What makes it all so interesting and alive is the fact that we each bring our unique desires and wants to the shopping table. We have to face facts and say that the LG Optimus phone did not inherit the looks in the family. However, this phone does have impressive feel to it which can matter when you have to hold it for a good while. You will not be dropping this handset due to the rubber grip on the back of the phone. The phone features a 3.2 inch screen under which are found solid buttons. You may like software buttons, but there is a definite percentage of consumers who really do not. The physical buttons have a noticeable detent sound and feel when used. For those of you with a laptop, a desktop, and other devices that need an Internet connection, the Optimus One is capable of tethering. Most smartphones today are capable of WiFi and Bluetooth and this smartphone is no different. This phone also has a built-in digital compass with an accelerometer that is great for finding out exactly where you are. The memory on the phone is also another drawback providing only 170 MB for each user. The battery life for this phone is acceptable and can provide enough energy for most of your daily tasks. As long as you do your best to frequently charge your phone, you should have ample battery life.

The following part of this discussion will be about Swype technology or terminology. In essence, it allows you to slide your fingers over text characters using modern hardware and software. So, with the Optimus One smart phone, you will have Swype capability with the keyboard that is displayed on the screen. When you type in a swiping fashion, the software is intelligent enough to determine the words you are swiping, or typing in a swiping movement. The more you use it, the more the software is able to notice patterns and remember. The words that you type the most will actually be recollected as you continue to use the keypad.

If you are an average user of a smart phone, then this device will be fine for your normal uses. What we have learned is the vast majority have no complaints about the device for their every day needs. The Optimus One brings you a wide variety of functions along with swipe text functions and various commands executed via voice activation. One negative, we feel, is the battery that comes with it as we would like to see greater capacity. It is quite possible that your full charge may not last the whole day depending on the load demand.

The Optimus One is friendly with the Android Market which means access to huge amounts of apps that are made available because of it. That is just one example of how there are extensive integration facilities built into the Optimus One. You will need to use the LG App Advisor in order to access all those apps, though. Do some more investigating into the LG because it is a reliable phone that is priced for its intended target market.
